🕊️ About Yesterday

I Let You Down
Twice.

Same day. Two different moments. Both times, you were waiting. Both times, I wasn't there. This is me owning every bit of that.

How yesterday actually went

Evening
You were free. I was busy at home.
You had a free day — no plans, no rest either. You were waiting, hoping we'd talk. I was at the market, then cooking with mum, caught up in home tasks. I couldn't call. And you sat there, free, with nothing to do, while I was unavailable.
"aaj ap free thi pr hum market ke chalte apko call nhi kr pae ap bore ho gye... sorry hamare hote hue hamari dost bore ho gye — totally my mistake."
10:40 PM
You asked me to eat first. I said okay.
You told me to eat first — "Kha lwti phle." I said okay. You waited. You expected me to come back after eating, to call, to be there. That was the plan.
11:52 PM
You waited. I fell asleep.
You came back. You said "Hi." You waited some more. And then, at 11:52 PM, you sent the three words that I hate seeing — because they mean I failed you again.
"I waited u slept. Gn."

Two Times. One Day. Completely My Fault.

Aakansha, I disappointed you twice yesterday — and I want to be very clear that I am not looking for excuses. The evening was home tasks and market. The night was exhaustion and sleep. Both are real. Neither of them makes it okay.

You had a free day and you spent it waiting. That's not what a free day should feel like. You should have had someone to talk to, someone to make it feel less empty. I was supposed to be that person. I wasn't.

And then at night — you ate, you came back, you said hi, you waited again. You gave me another chance without even making it a big deal. And I fell asleep. You sent "I waited u slept" and just said goodnight. No drama. No anger. Just quiet disappointment. That's somehow worse.

"I waited u slept. Gn." — Three words that I will not forget. Because you deserved so much better than that goodnight.

You are patient with me in a way I don't always deserve. You don't make scenes. You just quietly feel it and move on. But I see it. And I want you to know that I see it — and it matters to me deeply.

This will not keep happening. I am making real changes — not just promises.

What changes. Starting now.

  • If I'm going to be busy, I will tell you in advance — not leave you waiting silently.
  • If I'm tired and might sleep, I will say so before it happens.
  • Your free time will never be wasted waiting for me again.
  • After eating, I will always come back. No more falling asleep mid-plan.
  • You will never have to send "I waited u slept" ever again. That's a promise.

Are we okay? 🥺

I really hope so. You deserve to be.
